Before you apply

Avoid the
common mistakes.

Most application problems are avoidable. These are the ones we see most often, and how we help you steer clear of them.

  1. 01

    Incomplete documentation

A single missing document can delay an application or raise questions about it.

We check your file against the official checklist before you submit.

  2. 02

    Incorrect travel dates

Dates that don’t line up across bookings, insurance and the form are easy to miss.

We cross check dates across every document.

  3. 03

    Information inconsistencies

Names, addresses or employment details that differ from one document to the next.

We review your details for consistency, line by line.

  4. 04

    Missing supporting evidence

A form on its own doesn’t always explain your circumstances or purpose of travel.

We help you identify evidence that supports your trip.

  5. 05

    Poorly prepared application

A disorganised file is harder to assess, however strong the application behind it.

We help you present everything clearly and in order.

Speak to an expert

Your nationality decides whether you need a visa. British citizens usually visit visa-free for short tourism or business trips. Other UK residents may need an eVisa or a consular visa. Having permission to live in the UK does not automatically give you visa-free entry to Turkey.

For some nationalities, a qualifying UK visa or residence permit is one of the eVisa conditions. You must meet all the conditions shown for your passport, not just have a UK document. Check the supporting document’s validity and accepted format before applying.

Do not assume a share code is accepted in every case. Turkey’s requirements distinguish between supporting visas and residence permits, and the format can matter. Ask the official eVisa help desk to confirm what it accepts for your UK status before entering a document number or paying.

You need a suitable passport and, where required, a qualifying supporting visa or residence permit. Some nationalities must also meet conditions about flights, accommodation or funds. The official application lists the conditions for your passport; check each one carefully.

No visa-centre appointment is part of the normal eVisa route. Eligible applicants apply online. If you do not meet the eVisa conditions, check the consular visa route instead; being ineligible online does not mean you can simply buy a visa on arrival.

The online route can be quick, but check the official guidance and apply with time to resolve payment, eligibility or document issues. Avoid leaving the application until you are at the airport. A quick application system is not a guarantee that every traveller qualifies.

The permitted stay and number of entries depend on the visa issued for your nationality. Read those fields on your eVisa; the validity period is not necessarily how long you can stay. Keep your travel dates within both limits.

The government fee depends on your nationality and is shown by the official portal. Flyinbird’s page currently lists £75 per traveller for assistance, separate from the government fee. Confirm both amounts before paying.

The eVisa is intended for tourism or commercial visits, not taking employment or moving to Turkey to study. If your plans involve either, check the appropriate visa route before applying for an eVisa.

Yes. Send us your passport nationality, travel purpose and details of any supporting UK visa or residence permission. We can help identify the appropriate route and check the application details. The Turkish authorities control eligibility and approval.
